Forts And Havelies in Rajasthan

Rajasthan has been the land of maharajas and their nobles. The legends that surround these dashing inhabitants have now pass in the history-the mythical world of blood and blade ,of battles won and of their undaunted spirit. While the princes built the stately forts and Havelies in their state-their nobles were not far behind in building suitably impressive forts and palaces which were in keeping with their status. Rajasthan history lies enshrined in its fort and Havelies, several of which dot the arid landscape. Over the centuries these forts and palaces were abandoned, some captured, some disabused, living behind a rich history in their wake. All of Rajasthan is doted with these marvelous forts and palaces, each one an outstanding example of our rich architectural heritage.
